We had the best time ever in Morocco, and so glad that we went with Adventure Alternative! Our guide warned us that we might cry when we got to the peak of Mount Toubkal, and I didn't believe him, but he was totally right! Wonderful memories that will stay with me for a long time.

I really was impressed how well it was organised - you know I am keen on the idea of "ethical enterprise"....The whole experience was really enhanced by the group. It is great to have a group of people who all pitch in and support each other....I really did enjoy it, particularly since I managed to do it. This was my first trek and first time away on my own so as you can imagine I was pretty nervous about coming on the trip but I had such a brilliant time and met some amazing people. Speaking with Adventure Alternative prior to booking really reassured me so all that was left for me to do was get excited and gather the gear. The trip itself was well organised, the staggered ascent allowed for acclimatisation as well as getting a great insight into the Moroccan way of life and culture. I can honestly say I have never had holiday quite like it and now that I have the bug to see more and do more treks I could not think of a better company than Adventure Alternative to do it with.

The trip was great, challenging and worthy. Staff were helpful, informative and approachable. I particularly like the idea of supporting moving mountains trust. Also, it was my 30th birthday on the summit day. To add more to my joy when we reached the top, the team leader (Matt) surprised me with a delicious cake complete with the candles. It just made one of my greatest birthday ever! Thanks all.

Loved this trip, which combines 5 1/2 days of increasingly tough mountain walking - & a little scrambling - with meeting Berber hospitality & culture. Matt was an informative and relaxed leader, Ibrahim and Omar welcomed and guided with great charm and skill. Samir's mountain meals were large - and delicious. Just make sure you take a really good sleeping mat/lilo/thermarest for the 3 nights camping!

I had a fantastic time on the Mt Toubkal Summer trip and made some great memories with the group. Our Group leader Matt was excellent and was always there when needed, but ultimately let us experience everything for ourselves as many of us were on our first trekking/climbing trip. Looking forward to taking on another challenge with Adventure Alternative next year!

A fantastic trip with breathtaking scenery, patient and knowledgeable guides and a chance to experience an interesting and traditional culture. Definitely recommended for keen hill walkers and those wanting to get off the beaten track and see a beautiful part of the world.

(The) Trek has given me a chance to experience mountain scenery that is changeable and spectacular on a daily basis. I have seen and experienced the real morocco and the way people live; this is invaluable. This trip is challenging and very rewarding - it’s a shame it was not for 14 days!
