Tailor Made Borneo Private Wildlife Tours
We specialise in creating private trips to Borneo that avoid the usual packaged itineraries, depending on your preferences for what you would like to see and do. Contact us with the query form below to start your journey!
Overview
Borneo has so much to offer with an overwhelming choice of places to see and things to do, and often visitors want to create their own itinerary based on some quite specific preferences. A family holiday that takes children into account, photographers looking for specific species to capture on film, school groups looking for some wildlife conservation work, and so on. There are also many variations on comfort levels from basic riverside platforms to five star jungle lodges. Then again, if someone wants to see orangutans in the wild instead of in a sanctuary, where to go? Or what is the best time of year to see turtles hatching on the islands? There are many options and variations, and it takes a very knowledgeable team to curate the best possible itinerary.
We started Adventure Alternative Borneo with precisely this in mind. A set of exciting experiences which tried to avoid the standard packaged tours but also an option for creating something personal, taking into account all those factors that make a tailor made holiday. We have the expertise to provide that service.
Initially just enquire below on the form with an idea of what it is you’d like to do and your preferred starting date (or therabouts) and we will start a correspondence which begins the journey. We agree on an itinerary, check all the availabilities, send a quote with all the details, and then if all is in agreement we set up your private trip on this page so that you can make a booking.
Ready for a tailor made Adventure in Borneo?
The ‘fixed itineraries’ below indicate trips that have already been agreed and booked. Please do not book onto these unless you are a member of this group.
Below that is ‘private itineraries’ which is the starting point to contact us with your ideas for what you would like to do and we can start to build a programme. When everything is agreed we put up the booking in ‘fixed itineraries’ which then allows you to make a booking. Details of your trip are then available in your account including payment options and all other information.
The standard minimum deposit for any trip is £200.00 per person, but in Borneo we are required to pay significant deposits to hold rooms in most of the lodges, so we will discuss the prices and the timings for payments to ensure everything is confirmed.
Our quotes do not generally include internal flights, but you can request that these be added or you can buy them yourselves. In Sabah and Sarawak the two main options for internal flights are MASWings and Air Asia. Most visitors fly into Kuala Lumpur or Singapore and then get a connection to either Sandakan or Kota Kinabalu for Sabah, and Mulu or Kuching for Sarawak. We can advise on the best timings.
Your correspondence for our Borneo trips will be with our office in the UK and also our offices in Borneo, so we can put you in touch with all the relevant experts to offer the best guidance for your holiday.
